William (Bill) Snyder

Snyder, William B. LATHAM, N.Y. William B. Snyder, 65, passed away February 21, 2010 while wintering in Hudson, Fla. with family at his side. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a 30-year Local 294 Teamster (McLean & Preston Trucking). He retired in 1999 to Hudson, where he continued to enjoy the game of golf and warm weather. Bill became a NYS CDL School Instructor during the summers after retirement to continue his love for trucking. Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife of 42 years, trying his luck at Saratoga Raceway and Casinos, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. Bill was a member of the Colonie Elks Lodge and an active member of Heritage Pines in Hudson. Bill was a man who left a lasting impression on every person he met and will be missed beyond words. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Mary Ann; four sons, William (Cindy), Brian (Julie), Wesley and Steven; three brothers, Roy, Bobby, Richard; sisters, Janet and Betty; and his much cherished grandchildren, Justin, Isabella, and Jared; along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Family requests donations to the American Cancer Association. Arrangements by Downing Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Fla.
